Business development manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £35,000+bonus

We are a fashion accessories and jewellery wholesaler located in Manchester UK. After six years development, we have a significant important role in this field of business. We are aiming to expand our markets to the European and other countries in the following years.

Therefore, we are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to manage and lead the marketing team based in the Manchester to develop innovative business strategy and expand the target markets. We are keen to hear from candidates who share our values of team work, courage and focus with substantial professional services experience. If your experience has been gained in the fashion industry and /or international trading company, we would really like to speak to you. As our main suppliers are from China, we preferred the candidates who can speak Mandarin.

Job descriptions:

  • Maintaining a broad awareness of competitor and industry activities
  • Identifying and highlighting new growth opportunities that may arise
  • Managing the relationships with existing introducing clients
  • Providing performance updates/reports to the management team on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Liaises with other senior staff to determine the range of goods or services to be sold, contributes to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets;
  • Creating processes that meet the needs of our clients efficiently and effectively
  • Discusses employer’s or client’s requirements, carries out surveys and analyses customers’ reactions to product, packaging, price, etc.
  • Giving suitable advice which takes account clients circumstances
  • Compiles and analyses sales figures, prepares proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities and undertakes market research
  • Striving to improve customer service levels by challenging existing processes and practices
  • Handles customer accounts
  • Recruits and trains junior sales staff
  • Produces reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management 
  • Strong planning and remote management skills
